The Daily Directive

ESPN had an article about Twitter/Facebook (here). The most interesting passage I took from it was:

"We try to educate schools that once they become aware of something like this, they have an obligation to ask the person to stop," Huchthausen said. "But under the First Amendment anyone can do this, so to us, once the institution has asked a person to stop, if he or she refuses, the institution has met their obligation. There is no violation."

It is a good thing that schools arent held accountable for things they cannot control. It is also interesting that it kinda leaves a loop hole where "friends of the program" might be able to influence a kid without the school really getting in trouble. I wonder want Marrones take is on all of this. I will have to ask him on a future Cuse Cast.
