Jim Boeheim in disguise?

The only good thing about the USF game was discovering Jim Boeheim's secret job as a Carrier Dome usher. Yes that is right JB is an usher. Here is my proof:

1st see a pic of JB

Now see the pic of JB as an usher

I mean is he serious? A fake porn stache is gonna fool anyone? That is like Superman wearing glasses and no one noticing. What is his name Jaime Bayhome?

NBA Draft

I thought of doing a Cuse Cast following my reactions on the draft until Flynn was chosen. But since we didnt know where he would go that coulda been long and possibly boring. So instead I just decided to write my thoughts here.

-How do they let the Devil (David Stern) know a pick? Is it written? If so how funny would it have been if the Clips rep had a brain fart and accidentally wrote Taylor instead of Blake? I mean it is the Clips, so anything is possible. What would Stern have done? Does he confirm it allowing the Clips to fix their mistake? Or does he say the Clips are a lost cause, lets let Memphis build a decent team?

-Clips take Blake, I guess we will never know.

-Memphis takes Mr Elbow, Thabeet

-Wow. Oklahoma takes Harden. I didnt see him much. Only a few games, mainly the NCAAs. He has an NBA body, but he isnt a great ball handler or shooter. And disappearing in the NCAAs would be a warning sign to me.

-Kings take Evans. I think he has the best potential of the PGs in the draft.

-Wolves take Rubio. It has now been over a half an hour and only 5 pics have gone by. Too much talking for TV. I dont care enough about the NBA to drag this out.

-WTF? Neither Flynn nor Rubio can play the 2. You have to think they will trade one of these guys. If not then why not take Curry who could play the 2? How funny is it that JB talked crap on Rubio and now Flynn has to beat him out? I hope Flynn does or he wont see as much time as he would elsewhere for the next 3 years.

-Speedy Claxton stil plays?

-Warriors take Curry, looks like the Knicks will be shut out of the PGs.

-Wow, Knicks have stunk for awhile now and their best pick since 2004 is David Lee, ouch. Knicks take Hill. Double ouch 22 years since Knicks drafted an All Star.

Ok I have had enough of this. Cant be watching Rachel Nichols in HD. Put her on the radio please! I will now take a break until Harris or Devo (yeah right) are picked.

---------------------------------

I am back earlier than expected. Ty friggin Lawson? What the hell is Minny doing? And going back I cannot believe Hansbrough was a lotto pick.

-They now say Lawson will be traded. For Jonny's sake I wish it were him.

I will now take another break from this BS league.

------------------------------------

Back again to finish 1st round. Screw the 2nd round, sorry Paul.

-Knicks trade Q Richardson. Why couldnt Minny have taken him and the 8th for Flynn? Oh well.

-Knicks take Douglas via Lakers. If I were LA I woulda kept pick and taken a big body like that guy from Pitt whose name escapes me right now. Obviously it is also escaping everyone in the NBA. I guess he shoulda stayed in school. Good for SU.

-Blair! That was his name. LOL.

Three friggin hours for a round is a joke. I am done. Good luck to Paul and even Devo.

What if there were a D1A and D1AA in BBall?

So you have the FB confs in D1A but include the Sun Belt and BE BBall onlies to get to 131 teams. You can then have a 48 team NCAAT. Would that be a good thing? By doing that you eliminate the little guy, and upsets are fun and exciting. But upsets make it easier for the next team they play. Also having a D1A and D1AA, you will get more talent per team. In BBall one guy can make a difference. You can go anywhere you want. However if you split D1A and D1AA would a kid who is choosing between being a career 6th man at SU or a starter for Hofstra pick Hofstra if they are D1AA? Having a split may very well add depth to every D1A team and make games even better.

Edit
I forgot to add that every teams reg season sched would be a lot harder. No more cupcake games. In this case confs would likely play more conf games. The B11 would likely go from 18 to 20. The ACC, SEC, and B12 from 16 to 22. The BE from 18 to 22. The P10 would remain at 18. Even so teams would have to fit in about 10 more OOC games and there are only 131 D1A teams to choose from. So we should see a lot more games between the Big 6 confs.

I made a bracket based on this year. I tried to keep the seedings as close to possible but had to move some teams to different regions to fill in holes. There are 43 D1A teams in this year NCAAT. However I only used 42 of them since both Temple and Akron wouldnt have gotten at larges. Only would could be the MAC champ. I then took the 6 highest seeded NIT teams to fill it in. So here is what it would look like:

East South MW West
1 Pitt UNC UL Uconn
2 Duke OU MSU Memphis
3 Nova SU KU Missou
4 Wake Utah FSU Wash
5 UCLA WV Illinois Purdue
6 Texas ASU BC Marq
7 LSU Clemson Cal BYU
8 A&M OSU Tenn Okie St
9 Mich Temple USC MD
10 Minn Wisc WKU Utah St
11 Zona SD St Fla Auburn
12 Miss St PSU ND Va Tech

So the Top 4 seeds get 1st round byes. The rest would play as follows:

UCLA/Miss St WV/PSU Illinois/ND Purdue/Va Tech
Texas/Zona ASU/SD St BC/Fla Marq/Auburn
LSU/Minn Clemson/Wic Cal/WKU BYU/Utah St
A&M/Mich OSU/Temple Tenn/USC Okie St/MD

The the potential 2nd round games of:

Pitt/A&M UNC/OSU UL/Tenn Uconn/Okie St
Duke/LSU OU/Clemson MSU/Cal Memphis/BYU
Nova/Texas SU/ASU KU/BC Missou/Marq
Wake/UCLA Utah/WV FSU/Illinois Wash/Purdue

So would this be bad or good for CBBall?

Evaluating the Bracket guys

Getting the number of teams in is easy. Usually the last 3 in or out is all that needs to be chosen. So a monkey should get 62 of 65 each year. What you really are doing is picking 3 of 6 teams to make the field. Not very hard. What is hard is the seeding. Well I posted my bracket earlier, my friend Cuseman made a bracket and we compared to Lunardi and Palm. We awarded 3 points for a correct pick and negative 1 for each seed missed. So if you picked SU as a 3 seed you get 3 points. If you picked SU as a 4 seed you get -1 point. And the winner was....

Palm 52 points
Lunardi 34 points
Cuseman 19 points
King Otto 0 points

Everyone had 64 of 65 teams missing on Zona. King Otto and Cuseman had SD St. Palm St Marys. And Lunardi Creighton. Cuseman put his together from scratch from 5pm to 6pm right before the brackets came. I have made a few brackets the last few weeks. But it isnt my job and I never went into the depth that the "pros" do. Palm beat up on Lunardi. I think we should all stop following the fraud Lunardi and use Palm from now on.

KOR Value

Since I forgot Opp's Opp Win % these are flawed. It helps smaller schools to have a higher ranking. And thus this will be my last ranking for this year. Hopefully next year I will have it fixed and can test my formula for accuracy. Below are my ranking of every Major Conf team, Top Mid Majors, at least one team from the little confs, and the worst teams in CBBall. I also included my conf ranking sand the BE team rankings. You will see teams like Utah St high due to the bias I mentioned above. But I think looking just at the Major Conf teams it could be a good indicator (see 2nd list).

I was finally able to add some more teams. It was then that I realized that I forgot to include Opponent's Opponents. At this point it is likely too late for me to go back and fix it. But for next year I will be on top of things from the start. So why is this a big deal? Well it helps the non majors as they play a weaker sched. So you will see those teams high on this new list.
